Sevgili tutmuş yularımdan beni,
develer gibi habire çeker beni.
Esrik devesini böyle nereye götürür,
böyle hangi katara, hangi katara?

Hem canımı çiğnedi benim o,
hem bedenimi çiğnedi, benim o.
Gönlümü bağladı benim o,
kırdı şişemi.

Ne iş yaptırmaya götürür,bilmem,
nereye götürür beni.

Sevgili takar beni oltasına,
Atar karaya balık gibi.
Sevgili kurar gönlüme bir tuzak,
avcıdan yana çeker sürür beni.

English version:

SPRING

The Beloved keeps me on a leash.
Like a camel, pulls me wherever He pleases.
I don’t know where I am going,
nor which caravan I’m part of.

The Beloved demands
my complete surrender,
